You cannot speak about Giaglione's history, without mentioning the Dance of Spadonari,
whose origins are uncertain, but it could be trace back to the propitiatory heathen rites to promote the land
fertility and the harvest abundance.
The most peculiar element of the costume is the heavy hat covered with coloured flowers.
The clothes are very particular, with valuable materials: the waistcoat embroidered with lace, frills and frogs;
the blue trousers and the white damask shirt.
Around the waist is dressed an apron made with the same material.
The costume has also white gloves and black shoes.
